Our experienced pilot and guide will take you on an exhilarating journey from the Lowveld to one of the largest canyons on earth! The Blyde River canyon may be the largest “green canyon” due to its lush subtropical vegetation. This magnificent canyon is largely untouched by humans and is a wonder to experience from the helicopter. It has some of the deepest impetuous cliffs of any canyon.
On route to the canyon you get to swoop over pristine wilderness areas which provide the opportunity to spot numerous game species, including the big five. The helicopter enters the canyon over the Blyderivierpoort dam and joins the rare Cape Vultures in their airspace. You will have the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the Three Rondawels, the Kadishi Tufa Waterfall, Burke’s Luck Potholes, Lison falls, Mac Mac falls, Berlin falls and God’s Window to name a few. This flight is truly a sensory overload and an unforgettable experience!

The duration of this grand flight is approximately one hour. The helicopter will depart from Hoedspruit Civil airfield hangar no 45 (or collect you at your location) and route towards the Blyde River Canyon. During this flight you will get a unique perspective of the Kadishi waterfall, Three Rondawels, Blyde River, Burke’s Luck Potholes, Treur and Belvidere Rivers. Exiting the area towards the Lowveld through Devil’s Window will take your breath away!
You have the option of touching down at an Idyllic little restaurant, The Chubby Pig Eatery. This welcoming venue is situated on the banks of the pristine Treur River. Here you can relax, put your feat in the clear mountain water and enjoy a hearty meal or refreshments
The duration of this exhilarating flight is approximately two hours. In addition to the first option, you will get to explore all the spectacular well know waterfalls which is located further South along the Panorama Route, the Pinnacle Rock as well as God’s Window. This would include Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls, Mac Mac Falls, and Panorama Falls.
You have the option of touching down at The Gorge Lift Company. Here you can visit the Lift Café Restaurant and Bar, Shops & Community Craft Centre, participate in the various adventure activities or go for a walk in the forest.
